COUNTERTOP PREPARATION GUIDE

* Being prepared for the Template of my new countertops:

We will first make an appointment to have one of our field supervisors come to the job site to make templates and take exact measurements. You will need to remove all items from your countertops before our field supervisor shows up to template.

All Backsplashes will need to be removed prior to templates by homeowner. At the client’s request, Pro Contracting can remove any and all backsplash at the time of templates, for an additional charge.

Pro Contracting needs to know prior to the date of templating to prepare our schedule accordingly.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NEED TO BE ON THE JOB SITE AT THE TIME OF TEMPLATING:

-Sink(s)

-Range

Pro Contracting will not cut range or sink openings to spec sheets. We ask that all clients have those items listed above, at the job site, at the time of templating so we can bring them back to our facility to have on hand here for the fabrication process. If you have a “Drop-In Range Cooktop” we will bring that back to our facility for the fabrication process. This ensures we have the actual exact sizes from those items. If you have a “Slide-In Range” or “Free-Standing Range”, we will measure those on the jobsite and leave there.

Prior to our field supervisor templating, ALL cabinets will need to be installed and level! This allows for a smooth installation of your countertop or surface. No cabinets should be moved after templating.

We ask that at least one homeowner / decision maker to be present at time of template, as our field supervisor will go over the checklist to make sure of correct color, edge detail, sink(s), etc.

The template process can range on average from one hour to three hours.

* Being prepared for the installation of my new countertops:

We need all countertops removed prior to installation. If a client requests us to remove the existing tops for them, there will be an additional charge.Pro Contracting needs to know in advance to prepare our schedule.

On the day of Installation we ask that one homeowner be present to open the home, approve faucet locations, and upon completion go over the care and maintenance of your new countertops. We also need a homeowner available to sign off on the project.

The installation will take less than 1 day (under normal circumstances).

We will cover floors and pathways to work area and clean up as best as possible.

We work hard and strive to make your countertop and/or surface project a great experience.
